CHARTER MARKET & INDOOR MARKET
Every Wednesday
COVID-19 UPDATE – the Wednesday market is still running, with food stalls only and strict marshalling to ensure adequate social distancing. Please do come down 8am-1pm.
Wednesday is market day in Hungerford, when cars give way to shoppers, traders and stalls filled with fresh fruit, vegetable, fish, meat, flowers, clothes, fabric, collectables and more.
You’ll find the Hungerford Charter Market on the High Street just outside the Town Hall, starting early in the morning and packing away early afternoon.
We also have a regular indoor market on Wednesdays with a wide variety of stalls from collectibles to apple juice to clothing.
If you’d like a stall at the weekly Charter market, please speak to Darren on the Flower Stall.
If you’d like a stall at the indoor market please call Nick Lumley on 07734 837921 (prices start from £10 a stall / free for charities).
Did you know… Hungerford is believed to have first held a market in 1248. A few years later, in 1296, Edward I confirmed in writing the rights to hold a market.
