Steeped in history, with all the modern facilities you’d expect, Hungerford Town Hall & Corn Exchange is the perfect venue for your wedding, party, business meeting and much more.
Built in 1870 from beautiful bath stone, Hungerford Town Hall is actually a complex of several spaces, including the Veranda and our three historic rooms: Corn Exchange, Town Hall and Magistrates Room, which accommodate between 10 and 540 people comfortably. Choose your perfect space, or book the whole building for your special event – our hire charges are highly competitive.
We couldn’t be more convenient, sitting in the heart of Hungerford both geographically and culturally, we’re just 200 metres from the train station with parking right outside and disabled access.

Licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies, with elegant character rooms in varying sizes, it’s ideal for weddings big and small.
After the ceremony, you can simply move into another room and let the celebrations continue with a wedding reception to remember.
With everything you need under one roof, from professional catering facilities, sound systems, stages and PA, we’re here to make it a magical day, and to keep your life magical and stress free.

THE CORN EXCHANGE
Perfect for wedding receptions, festivals, indoor markets, business conferences, banquets, book launches, charity events, yoga classes and much more.
The largest and most versatile space in the Town Hall. The beautiful high-vaulted ceiling and tall arched windows give this historic hall a bright airy feel.
Spacious enough to accommodate just under 200 people for a sit-down banquet or wedding breakfast, or more than 300 people for dancing, revelry or shopping. The adjacent fully-fitted professional catering kitchen allows for high quality onsite catering. And of course, we have a licence to sell alcohol.
THE TOWN HALL
Perfect for weddings, civil and naming ceremonies, board meetings, book clubs, seminars, lectures and conferences
Licenced for Civil Marriages with up to 60 people, the elegant Town Hall is the official room for local services and ceremonies.
This attractive, dignified space lends a sense of grandeur to your special occasion, or an air of authority to your business event. The impressive arched windows flood the high-ceilinged room with natural light – perfect for wedding photos. Then either stay in the same space for your wedding breakfast and reception, or move down to the larger Corn Exchange below.
The Town Hall is located on the first floor, accessible via a lift, and can be hired in conjunction with the Corn Exchange below to keep your celebrations in one location.
THE MAGISTRATES ROOM
Perfect for business meetings and presentations, hobby groups, seminars and intimate wedding ceremonies or breakfasts
The smallest and most intimate of our available spaces, the Magistrates Room retains a sense of grandeur thanks to the wall of impressive Victorian sash windows, which fill the room with natural light.
Conveniently located on the ground floor, the Magistrates Room has the benefit of ‘hidden’ hot and cold running water and sink facilities, making it ideal for more ‘self contained’ meetings and events.
Perfect for charity sales, musical renditions, selling raffle tickets, pop-up antiques stalls and collecting for good causes
Meet the people as they pass by on the high street, from your sheltered position beneath the arched entrance to the Town Hall.
This wide spot is the ideal location to set up your charity event and engage with passers by in the most central and visible of locations.
